MX dyed Gorgeous silk scarves






Colors, splashes and bright fresh tones are a weakness for me and what better way then to translate those colors on to the fabric medium which gives the best vibrant colors than Silk? MX dyes are known to produce such color fast results on any type of Silk. One can come up with great combinations and use various techniques such tie and dye, simple folding, knotting and so much more the options are endless! These are some of the scarves that I made. However they would utilize whatever was offered when it came to color or print. Sussi the traditional weaving pattern

Back when I was a student my weaving teacher had asked us to re invent a traditional woven pattern called "Sussi" famous in interior Sindh where the threads are predominately colorful or single colored with patterns made out of white and black threads only. However as time and culture evolved so did the design and color patterns. These are my takes on it. The first colorful pattern with various material insertions is a table cloth finished with an orange handwoven lace and the second is a recently woven shawl for a customer on a similar design pattern but with a grey background. My love for creating hand product shas grown immencely.

The Floral All over Print Design

Coming from a back ground of home textiles, having worked in an export factory for over two years has gotten me hooked in to creating random floral designs on Photoshop and manually just out of habit or sheer fondness of it. I must admit creativity is sometimes like an addictive flow of ideas which must be converted in to a visual format for either others to see or just for you to satisfy your self.
