Tutorial ALL OVER Print

All over prints are generally the most tricky ones since one has to look in to connections and repeat patterns along the way, moreover there shouldn't be an obvious repeat pattern showing and most importantly there just has to be an eye movement created via color and strong design.
In the following





 tutorial you will see how I took a motif and converted it in to an all over print.

When the COVID 19 suddenly impacted the whole world. With the shortage of face masks people were trying to figure out how to provide/produce proper PPE  for essential workers and our front liners. We covered requests with specific guidelines from hospitals, front liners, retirement homes pretty much all essential workers needs.  I noticed that each facility had style & color requirements. However they would utilize whatever was offered when it came to color or print. Sussi the traditional weaving pattern

Back when I was a student my weaving teacher had asked us to re invent a traditional woven pattern called "Sussi" famous in interior Sindh where the threads are predominately colorful or single colored with patterns made out of white and black threads only. However as time and culture evolved so did the design and color patterns. These are my takes on it. The first colorful pattern with various material insertions is a table cloth finished with an orange handwoven lace and the second is a recently woven shawl for a customer on a similar design pattern but with a grey background. My love for creating hand product shas grown immencely.

The Floral All over Print Design

Coming from a back ground of home textiles, having worked in an export factory for over two years has gotten me hooked in to creating random floral designs on Photoshop and manually just out of habit or sheer fondness of it. I must admit creativity is sometimes like an addictive flow of ideas which must be converted in to a visual format for either others to see or just for you to satisfy your self.
