Shibori a traditional Japanese tie and dye techniques is seen on various products ranging from fabric, to accessories such as bags, stoles etc. The art of dying in not only limited to fabric but is also widely used by weavers all around the world to create amazing design patterns on the yarns before they are woven in to a fabric. The options are limitless and also the color combinations, dye merging in to another color creating interesting overlapping of colors. Here is an example of a MX dyed wall hanging I made using pure cotton yarn in white and then dyed them in various shades of pink.
