TREES,NATURE AND PRINT CONVERSION

With the wave of technology and extensive usage of various media designs can be created out of anything and from anything. Once inspirations and trends were studied and mood boards were created after careful speculations cutting and pasting and so much more. Now one can create quick inspirational charts on various device and inspirations can just be achieved by a click of a camera.







Yes my recent work of design was inspired by photography my hubby and I did of trees in different states of USA. These pictures were taken in different times of the day and seasons too. I was genuinely taken aback by the beauty of the trees and the landscapes it painted and here are a few digital designs I created and their mapping on clothes.

Sussi the traditional weaving pattern

Back when I was a student my weaving teacher had asked us to re invent a traditional woven pattern called "Sussi" famous in interior Sindh where the threads are predominately colorful or single colored with patterns made out of white and black threads only. However as time and culture evolved so did the design and color patterns. These are my takes on it. The first colorful pattern with various material insertions is a table cloth finished with an orange handwoven lace and the second is a recently woven shawl for a customer on a similar design pattern but with a grey background. My love for creating hand product shas grown immencely.

The Floral All over Print Design

Coming from a back ground of home textiles, having worked in an export factory for over two years has gotten me hooked in to creating random floral designs on Photoshop and manually just out of habit or sheer fondness of it. I must admit creativity is sometimes like an addictive flow of ideas which must be converted in to a visual format for either others to see or just for you to satisfy your self.
